Engineering Plastics
We stock a broad range of engineering plastics in sheet, rod, and tube form for machining, fabrication, and gasket cutting. These materials cover structural, insulating, and wear-resistant applications across food processing, water treatment, chemical handling, and general industry.
Overview
We stock engineering thermoplastics — polymers that maintain predictable mechanical, chemical, and dimensional performance under sustained load or aggressive chemical exposure. UHMWPE and acetal cover most wear-component selections, while HDPE and polypropylene handle the majority of chemical-tank and ductwork specifications. PEEK only enters the conversation when temperature, chemistry, and load constraints rule out everything else. We supply sheet, rod, and tube for machined components, wear surfaces, electrical insulators, and custom-cut gaskets across food processing, water treatment, chemical handling, mining, and general industry.
Our Range
ABS
Rigid amorphous thermoplastic with good impact resistance, stiffness, and machinability. Commonly used for enclosures, guards, and fabricated structural components.
View DetailsAcetal (POM / Delrin)
The default for precision-machined plastic components. Excellent dimensional stability, low friction, and outstanding machinability. Used for bushings, gears, wear strips, and precision-machined parts. Avoid in strong oxidising acid service.
View DetailsAcrylic (PMMA)
Optically clear thermoplastic with excellent weatherability. Used for guards, sight glasses, and display panels.
View DetailsHDPE
High-density polyethylene sheet with excellent chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, and good impact strength. Used for liners, cutting boards, tank components, and wear strips.
View DetailsLDPE
Low-density polyethylene sheet. Flexible, lightweight, and moisture-resistant with good chemical resistance. Suited to packaging liners, protective layers, and low-load wear applications.
View DetailsUHMWPE
When ore, sand, or coarse aggregate is wearing out steel chutes, this is what replaces them. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene with among the highest abrasion resistance of common thermoplastics. Extremely low friction and excellent impact strength for chute liners, conveyor guides, and heavy-duty wear components.
View DetailsNylon (PA)
Semi-crystalline engineering thermoplastic with good wear resistance, toughness, and machinability. Used for bushings, wear strips, insulators, and structural components.
View DetailsPEEK
Where every other thermoplastic gives up — high temperature, aggressive chemistry, and mechanical load all at once — PEEK takes over. Continuous service to 250 °C with outstanding chemical resistance and high strength. Used in aerospace, medical, and high-temperature sealing applications. Cost is significant; specify only when the duty demands it.
View DetailsPET
Semi-crystalline thermoplastic film and sheet with good dimensional stability, chemical resistance, and electrical insulation properties. Used for packaging, electrical barriers, and food-contact applications.
View DetailsPETG
Amorphous PET copolymer with improved impact resistance and thermoformability over standard PET. Optically clear, easy to fabricate, and suited to guards, displays, and food-contact components.
View DetailsPolycarbonate (PC)
Amorphous thermoplastic with outstanding impact resistance and optical clarity. Suited to machine guards, electrical housings, safety glazing, and transparent enclosures.
View DetailsPolypropylene (PP)
Lightweight semi-crystalline thermoplastic with broad chemical resistance and good fatigue life. Suited to chemical tanks, ductwork, and food-contact applications.
View DetailsPolystyrene / HIPS
Low-cost rigid thermoplastic. Good dimensional stability and machinability in standard and high-impact grades. Used for signage, packaging, and non-structural fabrication.
View DetailsSolid Polyurethane Sheet
Solid polyurethane sheet in engineering grades (50–90 Shore A). High abrasion resistance, tear strength, and resilience for wear pads, impact liners, and high-load sealing applications.
View DetailsRigid PVC
Good resistance to acids, alkalis, and aqueous solutions. Easy to fabricate and bond. Used in chemical handling, ductwork, tank construction, and electrical insulation.
View DetailsFlexible (Plasticised) PVC
Soft, flexible PVC sheet with plasticiser addition. Good chemical resistance and conformability for curtains, liners, protective covers, and flexible gasket applications.
