Foams & Cellular Materials

Our foam and cellular materials range covers closed-cell, open-cell, and microcellular foams across PE, EVA, PU, PVC, and rubber-blend polymer families. We supply sheet, roll, and die-cut forms in standard and custom thicknesses.

Selection of foam and cellular rubber materials including closed-cell and open-cell grades.

Overview

We stock closed-cell, open-cell, and speciality foams across PE, EVA, PU, PVC, and rubber-blend (CR/NBR, EPDM/NBR) polymer families. Closed-cell grades work as moisture barriers and compression seals; open-cell grades work for cushioning and acoustic absorption. A common specification mistake is reaching for an open-cell foam where a closed-cell grade is needed — open-cell will absorb water on the first wet day and compression-set within months. We supply standard sheet and roll, plus microcellular urethane (Poron) for long-life sealing and fire-retardant polyurethane for building and transport compliance.

Our Range

EVA Foam (Closed Cell)

Closed-cell ethylene vinyl acetate foam. Lightweight, moisture-resistant, and buoyant. Densities from 30 to 220 kg/m³.

Polyethylene Foam (Closed Cell)

Closed-cell polyethylene foam in cross-linked and expanded grades, typical density range 25–80 kg/m³. Continuous service to around 80 °C. FDA food-contact grade available.

Polyurethane Foam (Open Cell)

Open-cell polyurethane foam, density range 25–80 kg/m³ from soft cushioning to high-resilience firm grades. Continuous service to around 80 °C. Fire-retardant variants available to BS 5852 and equivalent standards. Note: open-cell construction will absorb water — keep out of weatherseal and outdoor service.

Microcellular Urethane Foam (Poron)

When a foam gasket needs to hold sealing force for years rather than months, this is the grade. Closed-cell microcellular polyurethane foam with dramatically lower compression set than open-cell PU. Higher cost than standard foams; specify where long-term sealing matters.

CR/NBR Closed-Cell Foam

Neoprene/nitrile rubber blend closed-cell sponge with a self-skinned surface, typical density 100–250 kg/m³. Continuous service −40 °C to +85 °C. Good outdoor weatherseal performance and oil resistance.

EPDM/NBR Closed-Cell Foam

EPDM/NBR rubber blend closed-cell foam. Combines EPDM ozone and UV resistance with NBR oil compatibility.

View Details

NBR Closed-Cell Foam

Nitrile rubber closed-cell foam for industrial sealing. Continuous service −20 °C to +90 °C with strong resistance to mineral oils, fuels, and aliphatic hydrocarbons.

View Details

PVC Foam (Closed Cell)

Closed-cell PVC foam in medium and high-density grades, typical density 50–200 kg/m³. Continuous service −20 °C to +70 °C with good weatherseal and UV resistance.

View Details

PVC/Nitrile Closed-Cell Foam

Closed-cell foam combining PVC weather resistance with nitrile oil resistance.

Sponge & Cellular Rubber

Closed-cell and open-cell foamed elastomers in EPDM, neoprene, and silicone grades for cushioning, insulation, and low-pressure sealing.
