Microstructured Soft-Sealing Fluoropolymer
Expanded PTFE (ePTFE)
Expanded PTFE (ePTFE) is a soft, highly conformable form of polytetrafluoroethylene with a unique microstructure that allows it to seal on irregular, damaged, or fragile flanges with minimal bolt load. We stock ePTFE gasket sheet from leading manufacturers for glass-lined, FRP, and other low-bolt-load sealing applications.

Common Applications
- Glass-lined reactor and vessel flange gaskets
- FRP (fibreglass reinforced plastic) flange seals
- Fragile or warped flange faces
- Low bolt-load flanges where gasket stress is limited
- Chemical processing — aggressive acids, solvents, and oxidisers
- Pharmaceutical and high-purity process seals
- Large-diameter flanges with uneven surfaces
- Enamel-coated equipment gaskets
- Heat exchanger cover gaskets on thin tube sheets
- Multi-media service where a single gasket material is preferred
Available Grades
Brands we stock: Gore GR, Sealcom 500, Softchem, Doniflon 900E, Gaskotex
Standard ePTFE Gasket Sheet
General-purpose expanded PTFE sheet with excellent conformability and near-universal chemical resistance. Our standard grade for glass-lined, FRP, and low-bolt-load sealing applications.
ePTFE with Adhesive Backing
Expanded PTFE sheet with a pressure-sensitive adhesive on one face for easy positioning on vertical or overhead flanges during installation. The adhesive burns off cleanly during service.
ePTFE Tape / Joint Sealant
Narrow-width expanded PTFE tape for form-in-place gasket making on irregular bolt patterns, non-standard flanges, and large-diameter equipment. Cut to length and pressed into any shape on site.
